Artist's Comments

Drawn for a friend, used Painter –> chalk tool I think. It's so much fun to digitally sketch using something other than the mechanical pencil...I don't know why I waited until now to try it.

Mn, so this image was done because my friend finds the Shikamaru X Kiba pairing to be very pretty, regardless of how unusual it may seem. I'm inclined to agree ^^.

Usually I don't post sketches on DA, but I like this one. And if you don't like yaoi, pretend they're just taunting each other (which they basically are *grin*).

*kattlegnat made me do it :X

I'm agreeing with PerfectDark and Friday13th - the expressions on their faces are very nicely captured. As this is mainly what the sketch was designed to show, you've done very well :D Bravo!

The trouble with signatures, of course, is that you can never think of a good one at the time...

Wowwies, the expressions are great! (as previously said several times). X_X Their profiles are so cool. hn, it was done on painter?! That really looks like charchol or something of that sort. Maybe I should invest in painter sometime...

Thanks ^^. Yeah, Painter is great for providing digital work with a 'real media' look. The only problem is working out how to use tools such as charcoal and oil paints, when I've never used them in real life. So it's certainly an advantage to be familiar with the non-digital media before you try Painter. One of the benefits of Painter though is that you can experiment to your heart's content, and not have to spend lots of money on art supplies ^_~.

Mmm, love the profiles on this, and the lovely curve of Shikamaru's neck.
